Last night the Chilliwack Ringette Association held its Annual General Meeting — the fifth one since the club was inaugurated in 2016. Chilliwack’s Mike Kinar was voted in as President, Julie Bauer became Vice-President and Valerie Wells joins for the first time as Director of Promotions. Brad Wolbeck retires from the Director of Officiating position after serving three years – thank you Brad!
After five years as President, Shannon Bettles hands the torch over to Mike, who previously served as Chilliwack’s Vice-President as well as Director of Athlete Development. Last season, he was also the U14 Zone Coordinator for the Fraser Valley region of the LMRL. Mike is a softball coach and the parent of an athlete on Chilliwack’s U12 team. Fun fact about Mike: he recently purchased a skate sharpening machine.
