You may be aware of the latest (Nov 23) update from the provincial health officer that restricts travel for sport game play. Here is what it means for Chilliwack Ringette:
LMRL will not be scheduling league games in the next two weeks and likely not until January (if restrictions are lifted then). In the meantime, associations like Chilliwack Ringette will be able to schedule games amongst it’s teams inside the association on its own. You can read more about this on LMRL website. Ringette BC has posted a statement here.
Where there is only one team in a division (U10, U14), that team will play friendly matches against Chilliwack teams in another division. Association officials will be assigned to the games hosted in our association.
Other restrictions mandated by the provincial health officer include the removal of spectators from the arenas. Only volunteers are allowed to remain in the facility while the practice or game is being played. This means players must come to the rink wearing full gear and their skates tied up. Masks are also required at all times, except on the field of play. This includes athletes coming to the facility, and up until their helmet is on.
Thank you for your continued cooperation and support.
