The Chilliwack Ringette Association was originally started in 1985 and operated until the early 1990s. In 2016 a group of Chilliwack ringette players, coaches, administrators and parents decided to revive the sport in Chilliwack once again.
If you live in Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Mission, Hope or Agassiz, the Chilliwack Ringette Association is your home association.
Chilliwack Ringette is part of the Lower Mainland Ringette League and a member of Ringette BC.
Ringette is a fast-paced ice sport played by thousands of people across Canada and internationally.
Sometimes called the “fastest team sport on ice”, ringette encourages fair play and participation through its rules requiring players to pass the ring over the two blue lines.
Ringette can be described as similar in strategy to hockey and lacrosse, without the body contact that comes along with those sports. Don’t be fooled, though —ringette can be a very competitive, intense and physical sport at the elite levels.
